Total capacity is 3.5 million gallons per day and water usage averages 800,000 gallons per day.Specific application rates and services can be negotiated by contacting their local managers. Electrical Power - Georgia Power Company and Irwin EMC distribute electrical power in Turner County.Fire Protection - An Enhanced 911 System provides Turner County with easy access to fire protection. ![]() Under this program the state of Georgia pays for the screening, hiring, and training of employees Quick Start - An Industry admired Georgia program to aid new industries and train their employees that is administered by Southern Regional Technical College.BEST- Georgia's Job Tax Credit - Businesses creating 10 for more jobs in Turner County may be eligible for a job creation state tax credit of $3000.00 per employee.This would reduce the cost of financing and abate property taxes since the Development Authority would retain title to the property. Bond Financing - Based on the credit worthiness of the prospect, the Turner County Development Authority has legal power to issue tax-exempt bonds for the financing of capital improvements such as land, buildings, and equipment.This is accomplished through a Lease Agreement. Title to the property in question must be retained by the Development Authority. Property Tax Discounts and Abatements - Based on number of jobs created, capital investments, and through negotiation, your project may be eligible for property tax discounts or abatement.Turner County is currently 100% Freeport Exempt in all classes. 100% Freeport Exemption - Turner County passed Freeport Exemption by referendum vote and by approval of a five person County Commission.The Industrial Park is approximately 1/2 mile from Interstate 75, just 84 miles north of the Florida border and two hours south of Atlanta! This incentive is negotiable based on number of jobs created and capital invested. Lots have been defined and are available from 1 to 50 acres, depending on prospects needs. Land - The Turner County Development Authority is willing to discount or donate land in our 120 acre Industrial Park.
